Bring On 2014

I really like New Years Eve, I know some people find it boring and all, but being half Scottish it must be something in my veins.  For me it's not about the partying anymore but I like everything that hopefully comes with a new year.
I like watching all the fireworks around the world to what a saddo I am.

I'm sure like everyone who's reading your thinking right New Year new start, new resolutions.  So what are mine?
Well I want to eat more healthy again and get rid of the weight I'm carrying that I don't want to.  I'm forty in April and I want to be slimmer again as I was happier then.
The main thing I want is for my children to be happy &  healthy next year who doesn't? And for me to be the best mum I can.

On a career prospective: yes I would like my little blog to do well, but it's still at hobby stage for me which is an achievement for me as I've stuck at it, which I don't normally do.  I would like to do the job I was doing over Christmas to but don't want to jinx myself on this so will see what happens but il let you know if dream comes a reality.

On a material basis which no it's not everything as the above
little ones are my focus, but having a huge birthday and all a girl can dream.

Hmmm yes please!!!!!!

So what are your plans and wishes for the New Year??

Some Pick Me Up Tips

Hi everyone hope you all had a good christmas, but most importantly got to spend some valuable time with your loved ones.
I had an amazing Christmas Day & cooked for ten and it went well until 6 o'clock when I started to feel really ill.
Don't want to bore you with the details but its taken until today to feel slightly better, it's not ruined my christmas as I've actually rested but its left me looking like i have been dug up.
So I've used a few simple tips to try and help me look a little human.  But not only for me, these could help you if you have  over indulged in alcohol. Oooops.

So water being first I haven't felt like drinking anything but
just been sipping water with ice in.
My skin looks blotchy & vile so I've use my Liz Earle Brightening Treatment which is an amazing clay mask which smells great and is a joy for stressed skin.

I've caked my hair in Philip Kingsley Elasticizer to try and help it recover.
And last but not least to sort out the dreaded death breath Listerine.
And do you know what I feel a hell of a lot better for using these.

Marc Jacobs Dot

Hope everyone has had a lovely christmas, and the big man got you all you wanted, I had some lovely gifts and one of them was a perfume I had wanted for ages.
Marc Jacobs "Dot"

It's got nothing to do with the bottle (fib fib) but the perfume is gorgeous to like the bottle is.

I had this in a gift box and the perfume and a little one to keep in my bag plus I had a body cream to.

So what does it smell like? It's quite floral, but not overly and mixed with a musky smell.  It's perfect for the day as its in my opinion not too over powering.

Yes I am a shallow girl but the bottle looks so nice on my dressing table to, like a big pretty ladybird.  It's sat next to my Marc Jacobs Daisy.

The only one I've yet to have is Honey but I'm scared of bees and the bottle is a bee so don't know if I could get this one whoops.

Lots of love

Yankee Candle Festive Treats

I love christmas so much but for me it's all about the kids, but so far this year I had a little pressie of my own from a friend.  And it wasn't wrapped I was allowed to open as well.

So I had two sampler candles by Yankee Candles twelve tea
lights.  in the fragrance Snowflake Cookie.

I also had this too cute little mouse with a little glass holder on the side which you slot the samplers in to burn, the little mouse is writing a note to Santa ahhhh.

And lastly a rustic looking boot with two little mice in with Xmas presents and you put the tea lights in the top of the boot to burn.

I was buzzing for one I love Yankee Candles and two how cute are the little Christmassy gifts.

So what do the candles smell like?

Well they are quite foody smelling, like an icy cookie type smell yum I say.

Whoop Whoop Party Hair

Yes ok it's me after work but the principles the same:: something a bit different for the hair, that you could carry over from work to a night out.

Literally it's just twisted round at the side and you can either stick it in a bun or a pony tail.

I think if you were going out after work you could put it in a sparkly bobble or clip and put on some red Lippy and off out you go.

I know it's not really demonstrated too well because I've just got in from work and typically on my ipad, but I thought it would be something good to show you if you are stuck with party hair inspiration.

Xmas Gift Guide For Him

Struggling to find the perfect gift for your dad, uncle, gramp,
or boyfriend then look no further.

The first thing I chose is a lovely smelling aftershave by Chanel called Bleu, Chanel aftershaves are quite heavy I find but this one is simply stunning, not heady but woody and manly at the same time. Available from Debenhams price for 100ml £64.00

I loved this in terms of ipad cases this is fab, brown leather and designer from Ted Baker how classic would this be to
store your ipad in. This is from Figleaves priced at £79.00

Yes it's boring an array of socks but men wear them and need them, so If you need to pick up some socks I liked
these fairisle ones from Next. Available from £12.00

I also really loved this iPhone 5. 5s case from John Lewis, this one is Barbour and very stylish I don't think you could go wrong with this one.

Winter 2013 Essie Nails

I've bought two new nail varnishes from Essie's winter collection, I can't help buying nail varnishes in fact I think I'm addicted.  The two I have featured above are left to right Shearling Darling and Parka Perfect.

This one is Parka Perfect its like a very cool cold looking blue I can't describe it any other way, but I really like the colour. If you look really closely there are really tiny tiny shimmery bits in this one.

A very chic looking dark blood red colour this is Shearing Darling.  This is a classic looking colour that will match any outfit.

What do you think, nice aren't they.  Could you choose between them?

My Very Festive Nails

I'm really excited we are now into the month of December.  I love December for so many reasons, the main reason being one of my children was born in that month and also it's Christmas.  I love christmas it's amazing, but it does stress me out for all the reasons most people experience.

Money, getting the right present, making sure the family are happy etc etc, but it's a time to enjoy to.

So come December I always reach out for one colour that its all about RED.

I bought the Xmas Chanel nail colour Rouge Rubis which is a bright cheerful red and is new for Christmas.

Hope you like it I do a really nice vibrant red perfect for this time of year.

Chanel Le Crayon Levres Rose Ardent

Always a fan of lip liners but not ones that smudge I've used Mac Spice for so long I can't even remember until the last week I've had a bit of a change of heart and gone for a change.

So I bought the Chanel Lip Liner in Rosé Ardent.  Which comes with a sharpener with Chanel written on it.

The colour is a deep pinky colour which you can pair with
pinky shades and reds.  Whatever you choose.

The liner is soft and gentle to use, and the liner stays put and doesn't budge.

I've lined this several times on my hand so you can see the depth, and I really found this colour lovely and I will be using this for a while now.

A good quality product as you would expect from Chanel and I love it.

Essie Toggle To The Top

Yet another Essie classic, sorry if I'm boring you with all the nail polishes I'm bringing you, I love nail polishes, colours, glitter, bling the more the better.

This polish is called Toggle To The Top and is from Essie's latest range.  There are six colours in this range and this is the most christmassy one I've chosen.

This one is a rich crimson colour with a grown up sparkle to it, perfect if you want to glam up your nails without looking like you have stolen it from barbies collection.

On the swatch above this is two light coats and the coverage was really good, I've had it on my own nails to and the chip ability factor was good it was four days before I noticed any chipping.

I'm liking so many colours at the moment the way I'm going I will have a different colour on every nail.

What's your Christmas colour going to be?

Elemis Jasmine And Rose Milk Bath

This is the latest bath range product from Elemis the milk bath in Jasmine and rose.
To use this I pour some under hot running water close the bathroom door and then pop back in when my bath has run.  Normally I forget and the waters nearly at the top.

The claims are to leave your skin beautifully soft, and this product contains lots of botanical oils to care for your skin.

You can see from my bath that the bath milk is not overly bubbly, and turns the water a little cloudy.  The smell I think Is stronger than I thought it would be, quite light taking a bath whilst eating Turkish delight is what I would compare the smell to.

So the bath milk is very moisturising yet sadly I feel that the original bath milk is the best, I've used it for years, you can actually use it on dry patches of skin and the smell is just creamy and lovely.  I've used it on all my children whereas I would be more reluctant to use the jasmine and rose on them.

Love
