At this time of year our skin needs more moisture as the cold weather can dry it out and make it look chapped and sore sometimes. So we have to step up out beauty routines. Everyone's tells us to exfoliate our face but the body has to be done to. Why do we have to? It sounds pointless but the reasoning is fair enough. If we scrub away all the dead skin cells them new fresh shiny ones will come to the surface. And our skin will look bright and glowing. I bet your thinking why bother we are mostly covered up in the winter and yes good point but still we can't let ourselves go because its dull outside now can we?
If I'm honest I need to give myself a good kick to do it but when I do it I always feel better and I'm glad I've done it. Another reason to do it once you get rid of those dead skin cells, products we then put on our skin always sink in better so body moisturisers or body oils soak in better when we have exfoliated.
I bought the Elemis Skin Nourishing Body Scrub as I had read so many glowing excuse the pun reviews on it, I thought I would give it a try myself.
I hoped it would be good as I always have high hopes for Elemis products. I haven't been let down by this at all. The scrub contains vitamins and a range of natural exfoliators of rice in, so this will explain the slightly grainy feeling you get when you are massaging the scrub on yourself. So you wet your skin after you have showered or bathed. Put some of the scrub in your palm and scrub in circular motions around your skin,
Here is how the scrub look you can see the grainy bits in and to be honest they aren't rough they feel ok on your skin and when you rinse off the product you dry your skin and its so velvety soft its brill.
It's definitely one of my favourite products of this season.
