Mac Face & Body Foundation Review

I don't know if there's anyone in the world who doesn't like MacCosmetics. Ok bit of a sweeping statement but there's no one on my radar who doesn't like Mac.

I love Mac because they are always at the forefront of fashion plus there shades are amazing.  I love their pigments and their eyeshadows are renown to be brill.

My friend got me the face and body foundation, I can't believe I've never tried this before. I've read lots of good reviews about it but never been to get it.

So what do I think? Well easy to apply firstly which is a plus, what's the coverage like?
Well if you like a natural glow to your skin with a very light coverage this is the one.
If you need a heavier coverage or don't feel comfortable without a fuller cover I wouldn't get this one.

How I use it: firstly I moisturise then use my LauraMercier primer, cover up some imperfections with my concealer and then use my stippling brush to apply the foundation.
Not only can you use it on your face, you can use it on your body, so I will be blending this on the dodgy mark or two on my legs yikes!!

A Bit Of Lifestyle Fitness & Eating

A bit of a different post today, a bit about what I've been up to and what I'm doing.
I embarked on a bit of a fitness mission in February because I had started Slimmingworld and lost weight and then I thought I would do it on my own and it didn't work out like that, and I've ended up putting weight back on grrrrrr.

I do try to eat healthy but then junk calls me and I can't stop eating it::: chocolate and biscuits are my down fall it wouldn't be so bad if I did it in moderation but once I start I can't stop:::: and it's not good.

So the only good thing I'm doing in relation to health is the gym and I'm really liking it but I'm not sure how good it's going to do with me if my eating is crap, excuse the term...

I'm sure people can relate to this it's hard combining healthy eating and exercise, I normally do one and can't do the both together. But I really need to or I'm going to end up in Fat Camp America and I don't want that for me.

Isint down heartening when you have tried all diet plans etc and still struggle maybe I just need a wire for my jaw.

I'm sure people will relate to this post

Let me know your struggles

I'm loving Chanel Illusion D'Ombre In Diapason

This is one of my favourite eyeshadows at the moment, you know when you start using an eyeshadow and then use it every day, well this is mine.
It's the very gorgeous Diapason by Chanel, these eye colours are the Illusion D' Ombres's, which to you and me is pots of colour in a mousse type formula.

The Diaspason is a purpley mauve colour which is easily blend able and goes with so many colours.

Gorgeous the only down side is after a couple of months they do tend to dry up....

Crest 3D whitestrips Review

So I'm trying to get my posts back on track I've been struggling with my blog recently, felt a little but demotivated
and trying to fit in work, kids and my new found love of the
gym hasn't been easy.  But I'm trying to get back to it as I do
love doing it.

So I'm writing today about the crest 3D Whitestrips in other terms bleaching for the teeth.
Not to difficult to get hold of I bought mine from Ebay in a pack of five.

I was a little skeptical about using the strips as I had read mixed reviews about them and my main worry was I had read they could cause sensitivity.  So with this in mind I ripped open the pack and as my pic shows above you get two strips naturally the bigger for your top teeth and smaller for your bottom teeth.

So easy to use you just place over your teeth fold over and hold for a couple of seconds and then leave on.
I left mine on for the recommended time of 30 minutes but you can leave them on for a couple of hours.
So what was the results:: the first ten minutes I didn't feel a thing, the next twenty I did have sensitivity and I did want to take the strips off but kept with it. After 30 minutes I took them off and my teeth looked a little whiter.
I did have some sensitivity for most of the day but today a new day my teeth are fine:
I think with continued use my teeth will steadily get whiter although I don't want a mouth gleaming like Rylan (no offence to him)
I'm going to keep using them they are a fab idea, and as for the sensitivity beauty is pain, and I'm sure not everyone will experience anything.

Have you tried them?

Mothers Day Gift Ideas

It's always a struggle normally to buy something for someone who may have everything, or be really fussy, or for someone who doesn't like a fuss.  But Mothers Day is a chance to spoil  the special person in your life.

Being a mum myself I'm usually spoiled by my little ones some toast and my favourite thing ever hand written cards.
But if your looking for some inspiration for your lovely mums I hope this post helps.

I've chosen lizearle Cleanse & Polish it's vital for healthy looking clean skin.  It's no wonder it's become a cult classic.  This cleanser comes with a Muslim cloth to use.

Secondly I've chosen that it's the ultimate cult product cream from olay.  Nicely and funkily packaged, it's something for over forties, an anti wrinkle cream to keep your mums skin looking plumped and glowing.

Lastly something I've got my eye on myself the tedbaker iphone hard phone case. I love this black and floral, pretty and I'm sure would look very posh for your mum.

Inspired By Mum

I was asked to do a look recently as a Mothers Day look, and being a mother myself I've picked two items I own and one I would like to compliment the look.

The dress above is from oasis and is called the Gabriella Dress I absolutely love it. It's cream with a very on trend colour through it with a strip along the back the same colour as the clutch bag also from Oasis

And last but not least the gorgeous Cavella shoes in Nude from they are stunning with diamontees on.

I think it's a stunning outfit perfect for Summer, a wedding christening or night out.

What do you think?

Chanel Le Blush Chamade Review

I'm laughing to myself writing this all I can smell is my slimming world curry I've just made. But on a better note how nice is this blusher from chanel called Chamade it's not for the faint hearted as it's a bright one.  But used sparingly with a Real Techniques Stippling Brush you can achieve a pretty airbrushed look.

The blusher is cream so blends into dry to normal skin fine you may have issues if you have oily skin as sometimes cream blushes slip off.
But a lovely blush for the summer not cheap but should last a while as you only need a bit. Would look great on tanned and dark skin tones.

Herbal Essences Moisture Balance Shampoo

I love herbal essences shampoos as nearly all of them smell like some kind of flowers.  This one I bought is the moisture balance version for normal hair.  Unfortunately this one would be no good for me as my hair is very very coloured, but I do use this one on my boys hair.

This shampoo lathers very well and you only need a little bit to work into the hair to lather it up.

The best thing about Herbal Essences as I've mentioned is the smell and with this one if you wash your hair in the evening you wake up In the morning and your hair still smells nice.

have you tried it?

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo

Scrolling through my Twitter feed recently Escentual were offering the chance for readers to try out the new larocheposay Effaclar Duo.

Luckily my skin spot and breakout wise is not too bad, but my poor daughters is really bad at the moment due to her age, hormones and generally being a little lazy on the face cleansing front.

So they very kindly sent it out for me to try which was very kind.  I wish I had taken a before picture of my daughters forehead but she was not keen on the idea at all:
But I did get the after pic.

The upshot of the Effaclar Duo is basically it's designed for reducing redness and helping with breakouts.  I used the product on my daughters face after cleansing you don't need a large amount.  It's like a serum type product: so spreads easily over the skin.
I used it repeatedly on her for 8 days solid and here's my honest account.

At first I didn't notice anything: I think I expected her to wake up on the first use and voila perfect spot free skin.
But that doesn't happen you have to be patient and constant. So after the 8 days my daughters skin went from red blotchy and very spotty to reduced lumps, the redness was so much calmer and the product has seemed to keep breakouts bit more at bay.
I'm keeping this going now and my daughter has got this on her dressing table and she can't be without it now.
Thanks Escentual and La Roche Possay.

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eyeliner In Nude

Who doesn't love rimmel? Rimmel always comes up good with trends and fashion colours, plus the quality is generally really good and the prices are always reasonable.

My latest purchase was the Scandal Eyes eyeliner in 005 (nude)

I bet your thinking what and why would I buy a nude coloured eyeliner?

Nude eyeliners have so many uses: particularly when your eyes are blood shot!!! So tired or hungover eyes would benefit.  You can use them in your water line to make your eyes look less tired, also if you are in between eyebrow waxing you can use the pencil to colour in around your eyebrows to hide the stray hairs clever ay.
